We're delighted to announce that Mighty Penguins has been longlisted (final 10 films) for a BAFTA Award in the 2024 British Short Film category.

We'll learn in the next couple of weeks whether we make the shortlist, but being considered is great recognition for what has been an extremely emotional and positive journey for everyone involved in the project.

Big congratulations on a great film, well told to our co-directors Louis and Ahmed Twaij as well as everyone who contributed (Will Billany, Steve Middleditch, Steve Williams, Stephen Pook, Stuart Ensor, Phil Nockles, Russ James, Paul Lane, Stuart Fyvie and all those at Meadowlark and Firelight and Brentford FC).

Finally, a special thank you and congratulations to Allan, Vickie and all of the Penguins and their families for welcoming us into Planet Penguin with such warmth and love. The whole crew loved meeting and working with you all and the project was an absolute privilege to work on for everyone, and your trust in us will be eternally appreciated.

Fingers crossed the BAFTA committee agree with our view that this is one of the best, most powerful and emotional stories we've ever had the pleasure of being able to tell.
